For those who use FSUIPC to assign functions to GoFlight modules you may be familiar with GFDisplay by Pete Downson. With the introduction of Lua script processing within FSUIPC, Mr. Dowson no longer supports GFDisplay. There are many simmers who do not wish to learn how to write Lua script in order for their modules to "display" correctly with FSUIPC. Therefore I've come up with the idea of creating a windows application that will create the script based on user's function assignment selections.

i am very interested in getting more informations about the lua-scripter. iam building a home cockpit for a level d and own some goflight modules and would like to use thee in a more efficient way. nowadays i am using the program from Bert de Kiezer's. it is working very well but its development is stopped. I need support also for the new goflight module gf-wp-6. I even would like to get a hind how to program lua to control goflight modules.
thanks for your help

Thank you for your interest in my GoFlight-Lua Scripter (GFLS). My
development of GFLS is paused for the time being. GoFlight either can't
or won't send me the other units I need. WP6 being one of them. I'm
not even being told why. I'm also having major difficulties keeping
GFLS stable. I may have to drop the direct module interface but I am
NOT cancelling development. I'm just re-evaluating how to make a
stable, useful application.

They will work perfectly... until you open windows.
I'm having huge problems associating buttons, switches, toggles and knobs with any and all permutations of possible uses. I'm not even going to get into numerous & various formulas to convert the FS values into usable data.
But more fundamentally, the code I have created to produce Lua Script has become so large and cumbersome I'm unable to debug. It's already at 3500 lines of code just in this one subroutine. And It's not finished. There are just too many combinations and the "condition statements" have been increasing exponentially.
So it really saddens me to announce that in order to maintain what sanity I have left, I must abandon my GoFlight-Lua project.
I've had many people who have supported me and I feel bad to disappoint them. Not to mention the uncounted simmers who may have been hoping they would not need to learn to write Lua script.
Again, my apologies. I just bit off more than I could chew. I want to thank Tony, Gary and Tanya for their support and loans of GF modules.
